Welcome to Biblionymphomaniacs.com (boy, that’s a mouthful, innit?) This site was designed to be a blog/book review site. Not only do I review books, but my main focus is….

Smut.

Oh yes, smut. That part of the book that you get to and feel rewarded for. My current favorite avenues of smut are:

• Romance novels (in particular the supernatural variant)
• Genre fiction (Fantasy, horror, science fiction)
• Erotica (particularly short stories)
• Fanfiction (oh yes, I said it, the dirty dirty word.)

So, the early focus of this blog/review will be a mixture of these four categories, and of course, as my library expands, so will my reviewing capability.

And now, a little FAQing for those who enjoy that sort of thing.

Just who are you and what makes you think you’re qualified to review books?

Well…

I’ve got a degree in English that’s pretty much useless for anything but reading and writing. So that’s what I do a lot of. Particularly reading. I devour a normal book in 3-6 hours (depending upon the length and the intricacy of the plot.) Currently, I’ve ten novels yet to read of my horde. I comb Borders twice a week for new books and generally pick up anywhere from 2-4 a week.

What do you mean by ’smut’?

Well, what I mean is any part of a novel that is devoted to sex. It doesn’t have to be unnecessary or long winded or graphic or anything of that nature, it just has to be sex. It can be any of those things if it wants to be, but it doesn’t have to be.

Why smut?

Why not? Sex is an intricate part of the world (believe it or not) and I for one enjoy reading about it. To me, sex on the page is much sexier than sex on the screen. Smut engages the greatest sex organ we have- the brain. Fueling the imagination is hot, man.

What’s your rating system?

Well, I’d certainly stick with the PG/R/NC-17 system, but that’s way too lame. So instead, I’ll just tag things with appropriate descriptors.
